Supporting All Learners in the Early Childhood Classroom Series

19 July 2017

This four part series examines both Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and differentiated instruction. The UDL framework highlights the need for multiple approaches to meet the diverse needs of learners.  Participants will develop an understanding of UDL, differentiated instruction, and how to apply the principles in an early childhood setting..

Session 3: UDL: Planning and Implementation, February 5, 2018

Participants will develop an understanding of how the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) framework for teaching and learning includes proactive planning of curricula (goals, assessments, methods, and materials). Planning with UDL does not assume a one-size-fits-all approach; instead it takes into account the variability of all learners. During this session participants will develop a lesson plan incorporating the tenets of  UDL.

Session 4:  3/12/18
