Join a team committed to helping children throughout the Central Ohio region succeed academically and beyond.

The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce uses a Statewide System of Support (SSOS) – state, regional, district – to create a single unified system that can meaningfully build the capacity of every district to move all children to higher levels of academic achievement. State Support Team (SST) Region 11 is one of Ohio’s 16 regional SSTs using a connected set of tools to improve instructional practice and student performance on a continuing basis.

State Support Team consultants assist districts and schools in improving outcomes for each child with a focus on leadership, team development, and inclusive instructional practices. We provide professional development, coaching, and technical assistance to school districts, educational service centers, community schools, early childhood programs and families in Delaware, Fairfield, Franklin, Licking, Madison, Pickaway, Union and Chillicothe City Schools located in Ross County.

State Support Team consultants are educators with expertise in Ohio’s Improvement Process (OIP),  Literacy, Early Learning and School Readiness, Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports, Mathematics, and Special Education. State Support Teams provide guidance to build the capacity of district personnel to support students with disabilities. Direct supports include but are not limited to Universal Design for Learning, co-planning to co-serve, and the requirements of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
