Diverse Learners

English Language Learners (ELLs) are students whose primary language is not English and who need assistance in developing English proficiency.      Ohio law requires public schools and districts to identify, instruct, assess, and reclassify English learners. 

The state of Ohio defines a gifted student as one who “performs or shows potential for performing at remarkably high levels of accomplishment when compared to others of their age, experience, or environment.
