Description:

Based on research conducted by John Hattie (2009), the instructional strategy of Teacher Clarity has an effect size of .75 on student learning. Teacher Clarity is defined as understanding what students need to learn and identifying how students will know that they have learned it. Analyzing Ohio Learning Standards, lesson planning, and assessment planning are integral components of Teacher Clarity and will be examined more deeply during this course.

Led by certified Teacher Clarity instructors, this course is designed with opportunities for virtual sessions (4), networking, and self-paced learning between sessions. Strategies will address hybrid, in-person, and remote learning environments. The Teacher Clarity Playbook (Fisher & Frey), will be provided to participants and used as a framework for the course. Intended for general education teachers, intervention specialists, and leadership (curriculum, gifted, EL).
