Description:

Dr. Kenyona Walker from The Ohio State University’s Center on Education and Training for Employment will offer a session that will walk us through how to leverage our new knowledge to begin to address the marginalizing educational content, practices and policies that may exist in our educational environments. The new knowledge is related to increasing educators’ knowledge about how race has been used as a tool for exclusion in education and how individuals and educators personally refashion those tools. We will unpack how certain practices impact our /black students and their families. This session is a continuation of previous sessions on culturally responsive educational practices. This professional development is geared toward administrators and educators.
