To continue its ongoing support of districts and schools to improve instructional practice and student performance, State Support Team 11 (SST11) has added two new staff members to assist in providing professional development, coaching, and technical assistance.
Erin Curtis (pictured on left) will serve SST11 as a consultant primarily focused on providing support in special education, OLi-4 principal coaching, early childhood special education, and postsecondary transition. Erin has worked in education for 22 years and comes to SST11 from the Big Walnut Local School District where she served as student services coordinator. In this role, she oversaw early childhood special education and postsecondary transition services. Erin also has served as an intervention specialist and worked with students with multiple disabilities in grades kindergarten through 12 while working in the New Albany-Plain Local Schools, Olentangy Local Schools, and Westerville City Schools.
She completed her formal education at The Ohio State University and also earned a Transition-to-Work Endorsement through Bowling Green State University where she currently serves as an adjunct professor. Erin enjoys spending time with her daughter and dogs and volunteering with a local animal rescue. She’s passionate about special education and ensuring schools have the knowledge and guidance needed to best support their students and is excited to have the opportunity to work with a variety of districts and schools throughout the region.
Kim LeGault (pictured on right) joins SST11 entering her 22nd year of work in education. Her role as a consultant will focus on supporting districts, schools, and educators in special education, OLi-4 principal coaching, postsecondary transition, regional data, and assistive technology. Prior to joining SST11, Kim worked in the Madison-Plains Local School District for 10 years where she served as the director of special education and a building principal. She also taught for 11 years in the Jefferson Local School District and South-Western City School District.
She completed her formal education at Wittenberg University and Concordia University Chicago where she received a Master’s degree in educational leadership. She enjoys spending time with her family, especially at her four daughters' activities, and also making personalized crafts for family and friends. Kim is excited to work for SST11 because of the opportunity to impact more districts, schools, and students. She also enjoys problem-solving and working collaboratively to develop and implement plans that positively impact student success.
