Ohio Department of Education has developed an online Alternate Assessment for Students with Significant Cognitive Disabilities (AASCD) Test Administrator Certification Course. This course is specific to the AASCD and consists of three training modules and an online quiz that cover the various aspects test administrators will need to know to administer the AASCD. All NEW (Initial) test administrators are required to complete the course prior to administering the AASCD. The course is available on the alternate assessment portal under the Teacher/Test Administrators and Test Coordinators user pages. Users must have a Test Information Distribution Engine (TIDE) account to access the course.
In addition to the required course, SST 11 is hosting virtual AASCD Office Hours to answer questions and provide additional support to Test Administrators. You can join a session at any time during the designated hours. Register through STARS to receive a link to the session. It is recommended that you complete the online course prior to attending Office Hours.
